What makes former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson angry? Paying taxes and getting pulled over by the police. “I hate taxes,” he told Spin magazine in its January, 1991, issue. “More than anything. They can take your money and all that stuff. But you know what they do? They humiliate you. Like, I can handle being broke, but it’s just the fact of being humiliated.”
As for the police, Tyson, 24, hates officers who tell him, “You might have a lot of money, but I’m the boss here.”
“You know, if you’re going to give me a ticket, give me a ticket,” Tyson said. “Don’t give me a ticket and a lecture.”
Steve Yzerman of the Detroit Red Wings, with five goals and three assists in four games, was named the NHL player of the week today. The Red Wings captain had his 11th career three-goal game against the Winnipeg Jets last week. Yzerman edged Pittsburgh Penguins players Mark Recchi, Paul Coffey and John Cullen for the award.
