Man Walking Along Anaheim Street Shot
A man walking with a woman was shot Friday night by at least one gunman who approached the couple and opened fire, police said.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he underwent surgery after the 8:20 p.m. incident, police said. His wound did not appear to be life-threatening, officers said.
The shooting occurred in the 900 block of North Olive Street. Officers said that it did not appear to be gang-related, nor were there any immediate indications that drugs were involved.
About two hours later, on the same block, police responded to another call of someone firing a weapon.
There were no arrests in either incident.
