Voices Raised to Heal: By the time singer Bobby McFerrin’s 24-hour meditation for healing ended Monday evening in San Francisco, it had drawn 3,500 spectators, ranging from homeless people to executives en route to New Year’s Eve parties. About 300 people participated in the around-the-clock chant, many of them members of McFerrin’s recording group, Voicestra.
