EL TORO : Noise to Increase From Marine Drills
Aircraft noise from El Toro Marine Corps Air Base may increase this month because of carrier landing practice, the corps announced Thursday.
The practice, which would affect South County residents living near the base or beneath its flight paths, is scheduled today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. ; Jan. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Jan. 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m.; Jan. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m, and Jan. 28 from 6 to 9 p.m.
