Delta 2 Launch Payload Is NATO Relay Satellite

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. —
A $45-million Delta 2 rocket streaked toward space Monday from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station to lift a $110-million NATO communications satellite into orbit.
The communications satellite system is used to link government officials and military officers in member nations with NATO headquarters in Brussels.
