Unknown Van Gogh Found: A previously unknown painting by Vincent van Gogh has been found hanging on a wall in a suburban Milwaukee home. The painting by the 19th-Century Impressionist, an oil on canvas of flowers in a vase signed only with a “V” in the corner, has been authenticated by experts at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the Chicago Tribune reported Wednesday. The painting was discovered by a real estate agent who works part time as an art prospector for Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago. Hindman, owner of the auction house, said the retired, middle-aged couple who have the painting inherited the work from a relative. The painting, believed to be worth $500,000 to $800,000, will be auctioned on March 10.
