Reader Is Buffaloed in the Great Debate Over National Title

Our standards of moral conduct are leaving something to be desired. Where is the college administrator who is responsible for teaching codes of ethics to their students? Where is he when it is time to stand up and recognize what is right?

Colorado should never have been in the running for a national championship. As soon as it was a proven fact that it took five downs to beat another college, administrators from Colorado should have willingly forfeited the victory to the other academic institution. Sure, it would have denied the team a shot at the national title and probably would have cost the university millions of dollars. But it would have done more for the nation as a community than any amount of money could buy.

Until the universities stop looking out for No. 1 and start reaching out to benefit all, we can continue to look elsewhere for the education we so desperately need.
