El Monte : City Set for Graphic Battle
The Great El Monte Paint-Off will be held on Feb. 9.
Troubled by a recent upswing in graffiti, the City Council on Tuesday approved $2,000 in paint and supplies to support the police-sponsored program.
Boys Club members, city staffers and volunteers will be recruited for the citywide program, which is similar to a mass “paint-off” held in 1975.
Volunteers may contact the Police Department’s Community Relations Unit by calling (818) 580-2180.
