Three service programs share $7,230 raised at the Oct. 27 benefit dinner-dance at the Banning Residence Museum. The Wilmington Historical Society Cultural Arts Committee, sponsor of the event, selected Banning Residence Museum School Tours Program, Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Youth Art Scholarships and Wilmington Historical Society as recipients.

* Neighborhood Youth Assn. Los Angeles received an $18,000 grant Nov. 6 for the second-year funding of the Linking Lifetimes Program. The three-year pilot phase pairs at-risk youth 12 to 14 years old with retired senior citizens in mentor relationships.

* Vistas for Blind Children netted $35,000 from its Nov. 18 fashion show at the Marriott Hotel in Torrance. Vistas is a support group for the Institute for Families of Blind Children. Proceeds will help client families.

* Hollywood Sunset Community Clinic was awarded a $74,565 grant Nov. 30 from the Department of Health Services Expanded Access to Primary Care Program. The grant represents $67,786 for expanded primary care outpatient visits and $6,779 for case management services. The clinic serves the medical and counseling needs of low-income and poverty-level residents of Silver Lake, Echo Park, East Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles.

* Visiting Nurse Assn. of Los Angeles is scheduled to receive $127,550, results of the Visiting Nurse Foundation’s 1990 Friends’ Membership Campaign, which ended Dec. 28. The association serves all of Los Angeles and Kern counties and is the largest nonprofit home health-care agency in the western United States.

* Dream Street Foundation’s sixth annual “World’s Largest Office Party,” held Dec. 28 at the Hyatt Regency, netted more than $16,000. Proceeds will help sponsor camp programs for children with cancer, AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.

* Music Center Special Education Division received $10,000, proceeds from a benefit luncheon sponsored by Community Involvement Committee of Executive Women International, Los Angeles Chapter, Oct. 13 at the Magic Castle. The money will help present art experiences in schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
