SANTA ANA : Group Raises $75,000 for Hospital Projects
A support group from Western Medical Center-Santa Ana has raised $75,000 to help underwrite costs at the hospital’s trauma center and to build new labor-delivery suites.
The money was raised by the WestMed Gold Club, a 14-year-old volunteer group that over the last year held a black-tie gala and a golf and tennis tournament to raise the money.
Since its inception, funds from the WestMed Gold Club have paid for hospital equipment and helped run hospital programs. Over the years, its volunteers have contributed to the neonatal intensive care unit, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the Bash Auditorium and the outpatient pavilion at the 327-bed nonprofit hospital.
