Rocket Test Brings Calls
Already uneasy because of the war in Iraq, about 250 people, startled by 30 seconds of rumbling and shaking in the Thousand Oaks area, telephoned the East County Sheriff’s Station on Thursday night.
The phone calls came in for about 40 minutes after the 7:50 p.m. test of a rocket engine by Rocketdyne Division, a subsidiary of Rockwell International, officials said.
