Robinson Saved His Job, but Not His Friends’
So John Robinson prevailed. It is clear now that his triumph over the Ram front office was not the undiluted victory earlier reported. He seems to have agreed to sacrifice the jobs of some fine assistant coaches as part of the deal.
Robinson selected those coaches, and for him at this juncture to determine that they are incompetent smacks of the rankest scapegoatism.
Honor is said to be a virtue, but sometimes, I guess, it just gets in the way.
