KPCC and KCRW
KCRW would like to set the record straight regarding the audience estimates mentioned in Mitchell’s article, “KPCC Muscles In.” The latest figures (fall, 1990) from the radio ratings service Arbitron estimate that KCRW has a cumulative audience of 313,400 listeners each week. The same survey estimates the size of KPCC’s audience to be 139,100.
These figures were not available when Mitchell was researching his article and represent a substantial difference from those he quoted.
