PLATFORM : Recruiting Teens

I feel this is a betrayal in many ways. Public schools are there to benefit everyone. Some people do benefit from the military, but it’s not beneficial to have them hounding you all the time. Everyone I’ve talked to has gotten at least one call.

There’s a difference between being made aware of the military as an option and having it pushed on you. There’s no balance in the schools. When recruiters come to speak at school you get extra credit points in many classes by going to listen. It’s always portrayed as a positive thing. No conscientious objectors or veterans come to speak.

The main problem with getting phoned at home is, it’s just you and the recruiter. They can basically tell you whatever they want.

There’s enough military advertising on TV and radio.
