The City Council last week unanimously approved plans for another major office park in the so-called Platinum Triangle business area around Anaheim Stadium.

The $100-million project will be built by Rockefeller & Associates Realty of San Francisco at the northeast corner of Katella Avenue and State College Boulevard. The office park will be the company’s first Southern California project.

“Welcome to Anaheim,” said Mayor Fred Hunter after the council’s quick and unanimous approval of the huge complex.

“This is going to be a dynamic decade,” he said, referring to the number of developments in that area, including the 20,000-seat indoor sports arena.

Called Central Park Towers, the project will join a handful of others planned for the area. The 12-acre park will consist of two 13-story office towers, one three-story hotel, a restaurant and cocktail lounge, and a seven-level parking structure.

The development is expected to bring 2,500 jobs and about $580,000 in annual revenues to Anaheim.
