AT&T; Seeks Business Rate Increase: American Telephone & Telegraph Co. announced that it has requested $77 million in price increases for the bulk of its 800 and WATS services for business customers. Consumer and international long-distance rates are not affected by the proposed changes. If approved by the FCC, the increases would vary from 0.6% to 2.7% beginning Feb. 1. Prices would rise 0.6% for interstate domestic AT&T; 800 service, AT&T; 800 Readyline service, AT&T; 800 Masterline service and AT&T; Megacom 800 service. Prices would increase 2.7% for interstate domestic AT&T; WATS, AT&T; Megacom WATS, AT&T; One-Line WATS and AT&T; Pro WATS services.
