Payzant Proposes Multitrack Changes
Multitrack, year-round schooling would begin at Jackson Elementary this June but end at Ericson, Walker and Bethune elementaries under the latest plans submitted by Supt. Tom Payzant to San Diego city schools trustees.
Euclid, Hamilton, Emerson, Jerabek, Mason, Boone, Valencia Park, Zamorano, Balboa, Brooklyn, Sherman and Knox elementaries would continue on the special system during the 1991-92 year, which allows schools to increase their normal capacity by rotating the number of students on campus at any one time.
The board will vote next week on the proposal submitted Tuesday and could make changes based on the concerns of teachers and parents.
