Southwestern Bell Corp.: The regional telephone company said its fourth-quarter earnings fell 10% to $267.5 million, while revenue rose 7% to $2.45 billion. Annual profit was flat at $1.1 billion, while annual revenue was up 5% to $9.1 billion. The St. Louis company said earnings were dampened by a $45-million fourth-quarter charge to reduce its work force.
