Schering-Plough Corp.: The Madison, N.J., producer of pharmaceutical and health-care products said fourth-quarter net income rose 18% to $130.6 million, while revenue advanced 3% to $800 million. Full-year profit rose 20% to $565.1 million; revenue climbed 5% to $3.32 billion. The firm said results are steadily improving because of efforts to achieve greater productivity and efficiency.
