THOUSAND OAKS : Citizens Cable TV Positions Available

Share

Citizen committees in Thousand Oaks that oversee cable television policies are accepting applications for several two-year positions.

The Citizens Advisory Cable Television Committee, which reviews subscriber complaints and the city’s agreements with cable franchising companies, has seven vacancies on its nine-member board. Also, the Public Access Committee, which reviews applications from city residents interested in organizing community-based programing, will accept two new members on its five-member board, said Caroline Raposo, a director in the city manager’s office who oversees cable television programs.

Both committees also pass suggestions from cable television customers to the City Council, Raposo said. Residents must apply by Feb. 1. Those selected will be required to attend monthly committee meetings.
