SIMI VALLEY : Bank Robber Flees Into Neighborhood
A Bank of America branch in Simi Valley was robbed Monday by a gunmen who escaped after fleeing into a residential neighborhood, a Simi Valley police official said.
Sgt. Gordon Weeks said the gunman entered the bank at 5821 Los Angeles Ave. at 3:30 p.m., handed the teller a note and displayed a firearm. The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the robber, who fled on foot through nearby yards.
Weeks said no one was injured in the robbery. He said detectives are investigating, but there are no known suspects.
