Philharmonic May Stay Home: The Los Angeles’ Philharmonic’s spring European tour may be derailed due to the outbreak of war in the Middle East, Philharmonic Executive Director Ernest Fleischmann told the Music Center’s board of governors this week. “We have until April 1 to decide whether to fish or cut bait,” Fleischmann said. The St. Louis Symphony has already nixed a February European tour and the Minnesota Orchestra canceled a tour of Japan.
