Sneaks: The Letters

I’d like to express my appreciation for Peter Rainer’s recent review of “The Grifters,” which focuses on the meaning and value of the film rather than incidentals such as the cost of production, potential box office, etc. It seems we filmgoers are being given more rather meaningless background articles and fewer serious reviews.
Sneaks ’91 is a case in point. Why should I care if Robert De Niro or some other actor is going to be in a new film? I’d rather know what a film has to say.
