United Technologies Corp. said its Pratt & Whitney subsidiary has won a $30-million order for four jet engines from Japan Fleet Services, an aircraft-leasing company based in Singapore.

The “relatively small order” for engines to be installed on two Airbus A300 wide-body planes will have no impact on Pratt & Whitney’s employment levels, said David Long, a company spokesman.

Japan Fleet Services is buying four of the Airbus aircraft but has not ordered engines for the second pair, Long said.
