CII Shows Doubling of 4th-Quarter Profit

CII Financial Inc., a workers’ compensation insurer based in Burbank, said its fourth-quarter profit more than doubled from a year earlier on a 37% jump in revenue.

In the quarter ended Dec. 31, CII’s net income rose to $2 million from $742,000 a year earlier, and its revenue climbed to $24.6 million from $17.9 million. CII’s primary unit is California Indemnity Insurance Co.

For all of 1990, CII earned $6.45 million on revenue of $87.3 million, compared with earnings of $2.76 million on revenue of $58.5 million in 1989.
