Turner Broadcasting System Inc., the parent firm of Cable News Network, said its home video unit will release “Operation Desert Storm: The War Begins” next month, featuring a historical overview of the Middle East as well as footage from the network’s war coverage. The tape, narrated by CNN anchor Bernard Shaw, will retail for $14.98.

Home Shopping Network Inc. was accused of using deceptive advertising practices in its ad for “Authentic Operation Desert Shield Armed Forces Fatigue Wear.” New York City Consumer Affairs Commissioner Mark Green said the advertisement, which appeared in newspapers Tuesday, misleads consumers into thinking proceeds from the sale of clothing will go to help troops in the Persian Gulf.
