Police Probe Death of Unidentified Man
San Diego police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found this week covered with a blanket near Balboa Park’s Cabrillo Bridge.
At first, officials believed the man, possibly a transient and still unidentified, died of natural causes. But, when an autopsy was performed, it was discovered that the man had been battered in the head, a coroner’s official said Thursday.
Homicide Lt. Dan Berglund said the man has not been identified because of the decomposition of the body.
