From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Six women have been struck in the buttocks with a sharp object in the last three months in a bizarre case reminiscent of last summer’s “Dart Man” attacks that terrorized women in Manhattan, authorities said. Police said they did not believe the current series of attacks was related to the case last June and July when a number of well-dressed women in midtown Manhattan reported being hit in the buttocks by needle darts. In the most recent attacks, six women, who range in age from 20 to 31, were struck with a sharp object in their buttocks while waiting in Penn Station, authorities said. No objects used in the attacks have been recovered.
