Saying he just put special aviation fuel into his red Porsche and wanted to test it, Jose Canseco was clocked at 104 m.p.h. in Miami last week, earning the Oakland outfielder yet another speeding ticket.

“I don’t think it was a big deal to him,” said Florida Highway Patrol trooper Rafael Lola, who gave Canseco the ticket Feb. 6. “You could say he was kind of cocky. When I told him he clocked in at 104 m.p.h., he said, ‘Oh, you’re so generous.’ ”

Lola said he chased the car in a 55-m.p.h. zone.

In an 18-month span in 1989 and 1990, Canseco was ticketed four times and was arrested for illegal possession of a pistol.

“We had a high-speed chase with him awhile back when he was driving his Jaguar (at 120 m.p.h.),” Lola said.
