Edison 69, Claremont 64--Edison (20-6) came out strong, jumping to a 19-6 lead after the first quarter.

Claremont’s Torey Webb did not miss a shot in the second half, ending the game with 33 points, but a late comeback fell short.

“It’s very common,” said Edison Coach Jon Borchert. “You get up by 16 and you tend to relax. Claremont beat some good people--it didn’t take much to let them back in the ball game--and the lead went down to six or seven real fast.”
