Rationing People, Raising Water Bills
At a meeting of the Lake View Terrace Improvement Assn., a representative of the DWP gave us a copy of the emergency water conservation plan.
It says all customers will be charged “a conservation surcharge” to offset temporary revenue losses.
This is an absolute outrage. If they expect us to decrease the amount of water we use, then the amount of water they have to buy and pay for should be reduced substantially and so a surcharge to offset revenue losses is completely out of order.
