PRIVATE LIVES
I am the special events coordinator for the Orange County March of Dimes Bid for Bachelors. This event originated with our organization and has been conducted for five successful years in a tasteful and proper manner. We are concerned about the image of our event as portrayed in “Collapse of the Meet Market,” by Margo Kaufman (Jan. 6).
In associating our event with “Love Connection” and “The Dating Game,” our intents, purpose and image are misconstrued. Under no circumstances are the bachelors permitted to offer anything less than separate accommodations (and you have stated otherwise). This is in keeping with the reason for the event: the March of Dimes Campaign for Healthier Babies.
