Traffic Signal Parts: Indicator Controls Inc., a Rancho Dominguez firm that produces parts for pedestrian traffic signals, sued an Anaheim company, Econolite Control Products, contending that it has violated two patents owned by the plaintiffs. In the federal lawsuit, Indicator Controls accused Econolite of violating its 1978 patent on a “mounting bracket assembly for pedestrian traffic signals” and its 1981 patent on a “rotatable lamp socket for incandescent pedestrian traffic signals.” The suit asserted that Econolite “has willfully and actively infringed” on the plaintiff’s patents. Indicator Controls asked for an injunction against the defendant. It also asked that Econolite’s products be handed over for destruction and that it be awarded unspecified damages. (Case No. 91-0811. Filed Feb. 13).
