MPV Recall: Mazda announced a voluntary recall of some 1989-model MPV multiuse vehicles sold in the United States for the inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the brake vacuum hose. A total of 6,680 vehicles are affected. Mazda has found that on certain MPV models manufactured between February, 1989, and May, 1989, a brake vacuum hose check valve could malfunction if the vehicle is parked in temperatures below 5 degrees Fahrenheit for an extended period. The problem can result in a need for increased brake pedal effort.
