California IN BRIEF : OROVILLE : Math Whiz, 10, Can Stay in College

A 10-year-old math whiz can remain in college, the Bette County Board of Education held in overturning a ruling by local school officials. Peter Chang, at his father’s urging, has attended Butte College for 18 months. Last month, school district officials in Chico revoked permission to attend the school, saying that they wondered if he would be able to develop into a well-rounded student.
