‘Nightline’ Nabs Viewers: ABC’s “Nightline” viewership has jumped dramatically since the Persian Gulf War started, up 54% over the fourth quarter of 1990. The boost in viewers has made the program tops in the late-night ratings five weeks in a row. For the week of Feb. 11-15, “Nightline” had a 6.5 rating, trailed by NBC’s “Tonight Show” (5.3) and CBS’ “America Tonight” (3.0).
