Preserving a Career: David Brenner has donated to Philadelphia's Temple University hundreds of tapes and films covering his three decades as writer, producer, director and comic. "It's comforting to know that my life on tape and film is going to be preserved in one place," said Brenner, who grew up in Philadelphia and received a degree in communications from Temple. "I have an image of my 9-year-old son, all grown up. He is sitting before a TV monitor at Temple, laughing at a joke I performed so long ago."
