Technical Difficulties: Radio station KPFK-FM (90.7) was knocked off the air for several hours Sunday morning when the electrical power was unexpectedly shut off to the North Hollywood building that houses the station’s studio transmitter link. “It’s not a big thing, just routine maintenance. But it is an inconvenience,” said Richard Michael, a studio maintenance engineer. The power was knocked out at 9 a.m. and the station was back on the air shortly after 2 p.m. Meanwhile, KCRW-FM (89.9) also had difficulties Sunday morning when electronic problems caused the station to briefly lose its signal. “Gremlins are afoot everywhere today,” said a KCRW spokeswoman.
