Marines: Scholarship Help
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation said it is extending its offer of scholarship aid to families of all American servicemen and women KILLED IN ACTION in Operation Desert Storm. Foundation President Pete Haas said the foundation normally aids only children of Marines and former Marines. “We don’t know how many of our servicemen and women will be killed or need our support, but we want to help them and their families,” Haas said. “Members of other services contribute money to our foundation and we want to reciprocate.” More than $6 million in scholarships have been awarded to more than 5,000 students since the foundation was instituted in 1962, Haas said.
