WASHINGTON —
The Pentagon will resume daily Gulf War press briefings today after a delay to protect sensitive military information, a senior U.S. defense official said Monday.
Defense Secretary Dick Cheney announced shortly after the ground war was launched early Sunday that he was postponing further military briefings to protect the allied forces.
Lt. Gen. Thomas W. Kelly, director of operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has held midafternoon Pentagon briefings almost daily since mid-January.
