He’s the Top: Frank Sinatra is the Friars Club choice of entertainer of the year for the eighth consecutive time. The 89-year-old show-business fraternity named comedian Jackie Mason as best stage performer, Robert De Niro (film performer) Candice Bergen (network TV performer), Ted Koppel (national TV news program) and John Madden (sports personality). It was Madden’s fifth win. “L.A. Law” was the top TV show for the fourth year, “Dances With Wolves” was named best motion picture and “City of Angels” best Broadway show.
