Soldier Comes Home for Her Baby’s Funeral

OMRO, Wis. —
This small rural town rallied around a 21-year-old soldier rushed home from war to bury her 2-year-old son, mother and grandmother who died in a car crash.
Spec. 4 Danielle Danke was with the National Guard’s 1157th Transportation Company in Saudi Arabia when she learned that a collision with a pickup truck Friday night killed her son, Christopher Danke; her mother, Patricia Anne Danke, 45, and her grandmother, Mildred Zuehlke, 74, of Winnecone.
