TWA Slashes Prices Again: Trans World Airlines announced another round of fare cuts, slashing the price of first-class and business-class tickets between six U.S. cities and London. First-class tickets are being cut by 60% and business-class fares by 50%. Tickets must be purchased in advance to obtain the new fares, which will run through May 31, TWA said. The flights are good out of New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Chicago and Los Angeles. TWA said a first-class one-way ticket from New York to London is being reduced from $3,205 to $1,282.
