Anaheim, Cityhood Issues at Stake Today

Elections are being held today in Anaheim, El Toro and Laguna Hills.

In Anaheim, voters will decide on four ballot measures: Measure A, rent control for mobile home parks; Measure B, a charter amendment on how the mayor is elected; Measure C, a pay raise for City Council members; and Measure D, an advisory vote on a parcel tax for emergency services.

In El Toro and Laguna Hills, voters will decide on cityhood and will elect members to the councils that will govern the new cities should incorporation be approved; they also will decide if future council members should be elected by district or at large. In addition, El Toro voters will choose a name for their new city. The choices are El Toro, Lake Forest and Rancho Canada.

Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
