Temple City : Condominiums Approved

Share

The City Council unanimously approved a 17-unit condominium complex for 4922-5014 Glickman Ave. Tuesday, but refused to grant a variance on the city’s guest-parking requirement.

Erick Van Wechel, a representative of Starts International Development Inc. of Los Angeles, said his firm’s proposal included a mini-park in the middle of the 17 detached-unit condominiums, but that the park would have to be eliminated if the city barred the company from meeting the guest parking requirement by counting driveway space between each unit’s garage and the street.

But Mayor Thomas Breazeal said variances were only allowed when it would otherwise be impossible to build a project.
