Campus Parking Fee Proposed
El Camino College is proposing a new $30-a-semester fee for student parking in lots on the campus.
The college Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on the proposed fee at 4 p.m. April 8 in the campus recital hall. The board is scheduled to vote on the plan April 22.
Student parking at the college is now free. Under the proposal, those who participate in ride-sharing would pay $20 a semester. Handicapped students and those receiving financial aid would not have to pay a fee.
