FOREST LAKE? When last we left El Toro, the folks had decided to become a city and to call it Lake Forest. The Post Office was doubtful, saying there’s already a Lake Forest, up by Lake Tahoe. But on Thursday, several citizens up north said they had no objections to sharing. One woman said there was “no problem” with “those Southern California dudes borrowing our name.” . . . Still, a leading realtor at El Toro/Lake Forest South urged caution. A simple name change isn’t going to increase home values, she warned, even though some locals hoped it would do exactly that.
