Administration on Bias Suits
It is a shame the Bush Administration seeks to solve America’s “litigation crisis” by denying victims of job discrimination use of their only weapon, the lawsuit.
Regrettably, this policy hurts those groups, such as women and minorities, who served our country so well in Operation Desert Storm. Indeed, they are frequently those most susceptible to job discrimination.
If the Bush Administration is committed to reducing unnecessary litigation, it should take a strong leadership role in encouraging the development of health and no-fault auto insurance for all Americans. This would help in a far greater way to reduce the amount of lawsuits clogging our courts.
