Unlimited Canada Rail Pass
VIA Rail Canada is offering a 30-day Canrail Pass that permits unlimited coach train travel, either throughout all of Canada or within Eastern Canada. Both passes work on a consecutive-day basis, with the 30 days beginning from first use of the pass.
The system-wide pass costs $219 through May 31, $329 from June 1 through Sept. 30. From Oct. 1 to May 31, 1992, the price reverts to $219.
The Eastern Canada version costs $129 through June 14, $199 from June 15 through Sept. 9, and then $129 again from Sept. 10 through June 14, 1992. Prices are subject to currency fluctuations.
Eastern Canada includes such destinations as Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec, Halifax and Niagara Falls.

In Western Canada, Budget Rent A Car stations in British Columbia, including Vancouver, are offering discount coupon booklets good through Dec. 1, when renting cars for any length of time. The booklet covers ski areas, sightseeing attractions, restaurants and hotels. Among the attractions are the Vancouver Public Aquarium, Capilano Suspension Bridge and the Grouse Mountain Skyride. Hotel discounts are for the same number of days as the car rental.
