Satellite Launch: McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Co. in Huntington Beach launched a second commercial satellite for the Inmarsat organization aboard a Delta II rocket on March 8.

The satellite will provide telephone, facsimile and data communications services for ships at sea, aircraft in flight and land transport vehicles. Space Systems has contracts to launch four more commercial satellites over the next three years.

The company generates about $50 million in revenue for each rocket launch.
